Wedding Florals at The Barn of Chapel Hill
The Barn of Chapel Hill is one of those venues that feels both grounded and elevated at the same time. Natural light, open air flow, and a setting that shifts beautifully with the seasons make it a space I know intimately and love designing for.
Because my studio is located next to The Barn of Chapel Hill, Iβve had the opportunity to create florals here again and again. Over time, that familiarity allows me to design wedding florals that feel effortless in the space rather than added on.
Ceremony Florals at The Barn of Chapel Hill
Ceremonies at The Barn of Chapel Hill often take place outdoors, surrounded by gardens, brick pathways, and mature trees. My approach to ceremony florals here is always to work with whatβs already present, letting the landscape guide the design.
Whether itβs a sculptural floral arch, asymmetrical installations, or ground arrangements lining the aisle, ceremony florals are designed to frame the moment without distracting from it.
Floral Arches and Installations
Floral arches are a signature element at many Barn of Chapel Hill weddings. I design these installations with movement and seasonality in mind, using a mix of seasonal blooms, and textural greenery.
Each arch is custom built to complement the ceremony location, whether itβs set against the hedges, the brick courtyard, or the barn doors themselves.
Wedding Reception Florals Inside the Barn
Inside The Barn of Chapel Hill, floral design plays a different role. The exposed beams and open layout create opportunities for larger scale installations that soften the space while still honoring its structure.
Reception florals often include long farmhouse tables with lush centerpieces, elevated arrangements, and hanging installations that draw the eye upward and create warmth throughout the room.
Designing Florals That Feel Natural in the Space
Because I work at The Barn of Chapel Hill so frequently, Iβm able to design florals with a deep understanding of how the space functions throughout the day. Light changes, guest movement, and transitions from ceremony to reception all inform the final design.
The goal is always cohesion. Florals should feel like they belong exactly where they are placed.
Seasonal Color Palettes and Floral Design
One of the joys of working at The Barn of Chapel Hill is designing florals across all seasons. Spring and summer bring soft pastels and garden textures, while fall allows for warmer tones and deeper color palettes.
Each design reflects the coupleβs vision while staying grounded in what feels natural for the season and the venue.
Wedding Florals at The Barn of Chapel Hill
Designing wedding florals at The Barn of Chapel Hill is always an honor. Each wedding is different, but the goal remains the same: florals that feel intentional, balanced, and deeply connected to the space.
For couples planning a wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill, floral design works best when itβs created with the venue in mind from the very beginning.
